At Simulpus ("we," "our," or "us"), we operate a Virtual Skills Lab Platform. Because our platform involves monitoring your technical actions (terminal commands, code execution) to provide automated feedback, we take your privacy and data security seriously.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit simulpus.org or use our learning platform.
1. Information We Collect
A. Personal Information
When you enroll, we collect:
- Name, Email Address, Phone Number (for account access)
- Billing Information (processed securely via Razorpay; we do not store card details)
B. Technical Performance Data
To generate your Performance Scorecard, we log:
- Terminal commands executed in the simulation lab
- Code submitted for validation
- Time taken to complete tasks
- Error logs and debugging steps
2. How We Use Your Data
- To Provide the Service: Enabling access to labs, tracking your progress, and issuing certificates.
- To Verify Skills: Your technical logs are used to generate a verifiable portfolio link (yourname.simulpus.org) which you can share with recruiters.
- To Improve AI Guidance: Anonymized command logs help train our AI Tutor to give better hints.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in these cases:
Service Providers
Cloud providers (AWS/GCP) to host your lab environments and Razorpay for payment processing.
Recruiters
Only if you strictly authorize it, your portfolio and performance logs may be shared with hiring partners.
4. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for all data transmission. Lab environments are isolated (sandboxed) to prevent unauthorized access.
5. Your Rights
You can request to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Delete your account and all associated lab logs (Right to be Forgotten).
- Opt-out of marketing emails.
